3/30/15 Keystone Library Renovation Description
The goals for the Keystone Library Renovation are:
1. To redesign the interior of the 76 ft x 124 ft and 20 ft tall industrial building.
2. Add a section of open roof with plant life that visitors can walk on and loiter on.
3. Reinforce the building to support daily use and most harsh weather conditions.
To do this, we:
1. Researched the codes and regulations of the area and building type.
2. Learned how to calculate load and decide what beams are safe.
3. Implemented our knowledge prior to the project as well as the skills we learned for the project, such as beam calculations, waste water management, and building type and structure.

4/30/15 Keystone Library Renovation Conclusion
Q1. Discuss the sustainable and energy efficient characteristics of your completed project.
A1. On the roof, the plant life and earth, which include grass, dirt, shrubs, and trees, act as natural insulators and also obscure the direct sunlight from entering the largest curtain wall directly. Also, several vestibules and a decent amount of windows helps to provide an ample amount of natural contents as well as keep the building insulated.
Q2. What part of the project proved to be the most difficult to complete? Why?
A2. The most difficult part of the project proved to be adding the steel beams, girders, and columns due to the program's awkward nature. It took several attempts to input the correct beam in the correct area. However, the calculations for it were easy and not that difficult.
Q3. Describe one improvement that you would incorporate if given the sufficient time and explain how it would make your project better.
A3.I would experiment by adding in the bookshelves and desks, as well as some more furniture to try and make the room schedule and floor design even more detailed and provide more flow to the library.

12/1/14 Affordable House Design Goals
The goals for the affordable house design are to:
1. Design a cheap and efficient house.
2. Design a stable house that will last many decades.
3. Design a house comfortable for any occupant(s) within it.
To do this, we:
1. Learned how to design the systems of a house and how they operate.
2. Implemented our knowledge of the systems to build a digital house.
3. Use our knowledge, morals, and experience to make the house cheap, efficient, stable, and comfortable.
